San Diego County Fair 2008
Here I am at the Exhibition of Fine Art at the San Diego County Fair, Summer 2008. Two of my dog paintings were accepted for display: "Sleeping Red Dog" (above) and "Remembering Dogs" (right). "Sleeping Red Dog" was sold as a result of this show, and is now available as a framed fine art print in my gift shop. An Inspiring DVD

Sleeping Red Dog
After bringing Ginger home from the shelter at the age of 9 mos., I used to enjoy watching her resting on the sofa or dog bed, quite a change from the excited state I found her in at the shelter. I wanted to portray the serenity I felt just seeing her so happy now. The person who bought the original painting at the Del Mar Fair understood this, and just have to have it on her wall.
Remembering Dogs
Ginger modeled for this painting that I was inspired to create after watching the DVD "Dogs That Changed the World." It is important to know that dogs have been our close companions and helpers since the end of the Ice Age, when people first began living in permanent settlements, about 15,000 years ago. Remembering this long history gives us even more reason to respect and care for our best friends.
Kissing Dogs
This painting shows Odie giving Ginger a big kiss. I found both these dogs in the same cage at the shelter, brought together by fate. Now they are both happily in their forever home, playing together every day. Another success story for dog adoption.
